About Us
Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Miller
Founder/CEO, President of ATAC

Kenny’s military and law enforcement career span over thirty-three years of active service.  Currently he performs the duty as a Lieutenant, and Shift Commander with the City of Virginia Beach Police Department.  Beforehand he operated as a Sergeant SWAT Team Leader, Police Academy Supervisor, Police Academy Assistant Coordinator, Detective, Field Training Officer, Uniformed Patrol Officer, and a member of the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Department attaining the supervisory rank of Sergeant. 

He has served as an Inspector and Use of Force training Specialist to the Victoria Police Department Melbourne, Australia; Firearms, Use of Force, and SWAT Tactics training to the Taiwan National Police SWAT Team; and served as a consultant and trainer to the Government of Saudi Arabia for the Spear Academy has served as an Inspector and Use of Force training Specialist to the Victoria Police Department Melbourne, Australia; Firearms, Use of Force, and SWAT Tactics training to the Taiwan National Police SWAT Team; and served as a consultant and trainer to the Government of Saudi Arabia for the Spear Academy.

Kenny received a Masters Degree from Troy State University in Public Administration, and a Bachelors of Arts Degree (BA) in Criminal Justice from St. Leo University.   
Mr. Joseph Nicholas (Joe Nick)
Director of K-9/ K-9 Corrections

Having dedicated himself to serving his country and community, he has received hundreds of awards and commendations for his community service efforts doing educational seminars in the schools in the Hug-A-Tree for parent awareness for child safe guns, stranger danger, and K-9’s in law enforcement.  He has volunteered thousands of hours of his own time, money, and resources in conducting tracking and search and rescue operations for missing children and Alzheimer patients.


Seasoned and confident law enforcement canine professional with extensive experience in the training and assessment of law enforcement canine operations.  He is the President of the USPCA Region 15 and serves as a Trainer/Canine Officer for the NJ Department of Corrections.

¨   Broad-ranging background encompassing corrections, canine operations, training and training management in a broad range of working environments for corrections, state and local law enforcement, urban search and rescue, and protection operations

¨   A certified Instructor/Trainer with certifications in Narcotics, Explosives, Tracking, Patrol Work,  Cell phone/Cadaver, and Arson detection, he has instructed numerous law enforcement, search and rescue, and protection personnel in canine operations.  Additionally he has certified both K-9 instructors and K-9 Teams.

¨    Served on the New Jersey Attorney General’s panel for developing and instituting the state plan for use and training of law enforcement canine teams.

¨    Exceptionally organized and focused with ability to successfully handle multiple priorities to ensure all mission-critical objectives are achieved.
